At the end of today's trading session on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), a total of 79,893 shares, corresponding to a market value of GHS 103,897.96, were traded. Compared with the previous GSE trading day (Monday, September 7), today's data shows 108% improvement in volume and 301% improvement in turnover. The current GSE market capitalization is GHS 52.27 billion.

In the aggregate, 14 GSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with one loser, namely Standard Chartered Bank, with 9.8% share price depreciation. Fan Milk recorded the highest volume of 45,400 traded shares, followed by Intravenous Infusions (23,800), Standard Chartered Bank (3,537) and Societe Generale Ghana (3,350).

Regarding the performance of GSE market indices, the benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) declined 18.86 (-1.02%) points to close at 1,821.21, representing a 1-week loss of 0.94%, a 4-week loss of 2.79%, and an overall year-to-date loss of 19.31%. The GSE Financial Stocks Index (GSE-FSI) also decreased by 2.04% to 1,653.02 points, making it a 1-week loss of 2.04%, a 4-week loss of 3.87%, and a year-to-date loss of 18.15%
